这个建筑的原用途是一所年代久远的地毯作坊，由佛罗伦萨建筑师Alessandro Capellaro慧眼相中并变换为自己的家。 Alessandro拆除隔墙，改善采光，整合全部空间为一体，并加入了在某次拍卖的斩获——空间中无处不在的300个老旧投票箱。 眼前所见的大型空间隔断、储物柜、床架和写字桌等皆经木箱组合派生而来。 Alessandro的妙想拉近了生活感和历史背景的界限；大量木色纹理的加入提升了温暖之感，并使室内柔宜居而有趣味。室内布局的变换也异常方便，搬动箱子就好。
